CIRP Freshman Survey results released for Fall 2022 freshmen cohort!

At University Decision Support – and across Northeastern University – we’re always interested in learning who our new students are and what matters to them. The data we collect through surveys and feedback helps the university meet the needs and expectations of incoming students every year.

For more than 50 years, the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) at UCLA, has been surveying first-year students to gauge the attitudes and opinions of incoming freshmen before they experience college. This effort, the Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Freshman Survey, was administered to incoming students during the orientation period in the summer of 2022. The data gathered provided Northeastern with a snapshot of what our Fall 2022 incoming students were like before they began their classes. The detailed results of the annual HERI Freshmen Survey, including disaggregation by gender, are translated into a Tableau dashboard available to Northeastern users.
