Data Classification “How to Safeguard Data” enhancements

University Decision Support is excited to announce a series of enhancements to the interactive How to Safeguard Data resource that serves to direct the university community to the proper Data Classification guidelines on how to handle data securely. This new version of the Safeguarding instrument condenses the previous version from six pages to one, adds a chart of Data Lifecycle stages, enables users to search for specific data elements, and also focuses user results to only the relevant guidelines for a data element. Taken in full, these updates allow for a quicker and clearer experience in assisting faculty and staff in the proper handling of university data.
