Love Data Week 2026: Call for Proposals Now Open

Mark your calendars for Northeastern University’s 2nd annual staff and faculty Love Data Week 2026, which will take place February 9–13, 2026. This international celebration of data is held every year during Valentine’s week, and Northeastern will once again join universities and organizations worldwide in highlighting the importance of data in our work, research, and daily lives.

Hosted by the NU Data Literacy Program, Love Data Week is an opportunity to explore how data shapes decisions, professional practice, research, and teaching. This year’s official international theme, “Where’s the Data?,” invites us to trace the fascinating journey of data from creation to preservation and everywhere in between. We also hope to examine how artificial intelligence is transforming the ways we create, use, and interact with data.

We are now inviting staff and faculty to submit proposals for presentations, workshops, or training sessions. Proposals may align directly with this year’s theme or cover other data-related topics that will engage and educate the Northeastern community. Sessions may be 30 minutes, 50 minutes, or extended up to 2 hours for more in-depth exploration or hands-on learning. For more information, including suggested presentation topics, consult the Call for Proposals on NU’s Data Literacy SharePoint site.

Proposals are due by October 15, 2025, and may be submitted here

We encourage you to take part by submitting a proposal, attending sessions, and sharing your expertise. Please also save the date — February 9–13, 2026 — and join us for this exciting week of learning, sharing, and celebrating data at Northeastern.
