Office of Institutional Assessment & Evaluation Joins University Decision Support

University Decision Support is excited to announce that the Office of Institutional Assessment & Evaluation (OIAE) has joined University Decision Support as of August 1, 2025. Led by Maureen O’Shea, the OIAE team brings valuable expertise in program assessment and review to UDS. Joining Maureen are team members Jes Caron and CJ Carbery, along with Meegan Willi, who will continue in a shared role between OIAE and Academic Technology Services. This merger strengthens our collective capabilities and creates opportunities for enhanced collaboration.

Part of a strategic reorganization in the Office of the Provost, this move marks a transition for OIAE from a new start-up office to an established function of Northeastern. This move also provides new opportunities to leverage the synergies between the two teams, particularly in areas such as accreditation support, program quality metrics, data literacy initiatives, and the adoption of new technologies. The OIAE team is enthusiastic about their new home, and excited to join a group of like-minded colleagues who share similar analytical approaches and perspectives.

As part of the transition, the OIAE will be changing their name to “Program Assessment and Review” to more accurately reflect their mission.

The combined expertise of both teams will enable us to provide integrated support to the university community, ultimately advancing our shared mission of data-informed decision making and excellence in teaching and learning.
