To help the university community comply with the University Record Retention Schedule while reducing the risk and cost of holding onto devices or documents longer than needed, we strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of Data Destruction Day.
Data Destruction Day will be held during Cybersecurity Awareness Month and is co-presented by the Office of Information Security (OIS) and University Decision Support (UDS).
This is a free event that allows students, faculty, and staff to dispose of personal electronic devices and documents, as well as work paper documents in a sustainable and secure manner, using a trusted vendor. Work related items will be tagged by staff at the table.
