What It Takes to Become a Data & Analytics Fellow
The Data & Analytics Fellow learning path was launched to formally recognize advanced data knowledge and skills across the university. The pathway toward becoming a Data & Analytics Fellow consists of three sequential courses in Canvas, each awarding its own milestone badge:
- Data Governance Leader, focused on data policies and metadata management, including data privacy, classification, confidentiality, FERPA requirements, and Privacy by Design principles
- Tableau Advanced Analyst, spanning the full Tableau ecosystem, including site administration, data preparation, and advanced data visualization
- Snowflake Analyst, centered on cloud data warehouse administration, including access controls, data loading, and maintenance strategies
Once all three milestone badges are earned, participants automatically receive the comprehensive Data & Analytics Fellow badge, earning four credentials in total.
Setting the Standard
Brian’s achievement marks an important moment for the program, and his success demonstrates the strong technical skill and depth of knowledge the badge is designed to recognize. Earning all four badges is no small feat, and it sets a great example for others pursuing the same path.
