University Decision Support has redesigned the Document Management Guidelines to provide a more user-friendly and comprehensive resource to help employees select the appropriate applications for the storing, sharing and collaboration of university documents.
Are you thinking to copy-and-paste some data into an AI tool?? Are you unsure about which application you should use when sharing sensitive information with a colleague? The Guidelines are designed to work alongside the Data Classification Guidelines to help you make informed decisions by providing direction on the following:
- Approved applications for a variety of business tasks and needs (e.g. AI, virtual meetings, electronic signature collection, surveying, etc.)
- The highest permitted Risk/Lock Level of data that may be used with each application
- Links to detailed information on how to get started on many tools
We encourage all everyone who works with university information to bookmark the Document Management Guidelines and refer to them in the course of work activities. Choosing the right tools helps protect university information while supporting effective collaboration and decision-making across the university.
Special thanks to our business partners in Audit & Advisory Services, Information Technology Services, and the Office of General Counsel for their help in developing and maintaining the Document Management Guidelines.
